Alaska, The Last Frontier, has massive tracts of wild, open spaces, ancient forests, soaring mountains, and salmon-filled rivers that create rugged, untamed beauty. Its unspoiled wildlands provide some of the best wildlife habitat in the world. Alaska is one of the few places in the United States that has large, intact natural landscapes— and these large areas allow ecosystems to function naturally.

Famous for having the highest-density population of brown bears in the world, Lake Clark National Park is a wilderness like no other. It is incomparably rich and rugged— a land of stunning beauty. Volcanoes steam, salmon run, bears forage, and craggy mountains reflect in shimmering turquoise lakes.

The main target of this tour is to photograph wild brown bears, on-foot, in their natural environment. With the millions of salmon that spawn in the many rivers of the park, Lake Clark bears are some of the largest on earth. Our brown bear photography safaris are remote so you can see bears in their natural habitat away from the crowds. There are no roads that lead to the park and no roads in the park, meaning you experience true wilderness. There is just no other way to say it… you haven’t truly experienced living until you’ve lived with the majestic brown bears of Alaska!
