“We just had the most amazing experience. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve been on.” – Ann Snyder

Southern Africa

The countries of Southern Africa offer an incredible variety of wildlife conservation safari experiences.

Starting with South Africa, travelers can visit the world-famous Kruger region and the Eastern Cape for incredible wildlife viewing. And adding some combination of Cape Town, the Winelands and the Garden Route creates a truly unique travel experience – one that has broad appeal for many prospective travelers.

The slowly flowing waters of the world’s largest inland delta – Botswana’s Okavango – bring travelers into a very different kind of African wildlife safari. Traveling through the shallow waterways on a traditional makoro – the local version of a canoe – gives a perspective unmatched anywhere on the continent. And the northern reaches of Linyanti, Selinda, Kwando, Savute and the Chobe are home to the largest population of breeding elephants in Africa.

To the north and west lies Namibia, with its dramatic desert regions, as well as Etosha – perhaps second only to Kruger in its fame in Southern Africa.

To the north, Zambia and Zimbabwe come together at the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls. I recently traveled throughout Zimbabwe and found the game viewing to be amazing. More importantly, the people I met were incredibly energetic and optimistic – a sign that bodes well for their wildlife conservation destinations. – Tom LaRock, Managing Director & Founding Partner
