"We just had the most amazing experience. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I've been on." - Ann Snyder
“Traveling by the responsible travel ethos is one of the most direct and personal ways you can make a difference to some of the biggest issues affecting our world: poverty and peace. Be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem – and have the time of your life doing it.” – Lonely Planet

Loldia Ranch is a private farmstead on Lake Naivasha that Safari Professionals often visits while exploring the great Rift Valley Lakes in central Kenya. Several years ago, the host at Loldia, Peter Njoroge, invited them to visit the nearby Loldia Primary School during a Kenya Safari.
The school has more than 1,000 students, ranging in age from 6 to 17 years old. Many of the children walk several miles to and from school, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The government of Kenya introduced free public education in 2003 but did not always provide adequate resources to meet the needs of the increased numbers of students.
Safari Professionals staff was impressed by the loving commitment of the headmaster and teachers to the education of their students. Their enthusiasm clearly inspires the students, many of whom are the first in their families to go to school.
Safari Professionals’ unrestricted donations have been used to supplement the funding the school receives.
