Saving One of Tsavo’s Big Boys
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is well known for its elephant orphanage, which sits at the edge of Nairobi National Park. We include the adoption of one of the orphaned elephants in our Kenyan safaris and, when possible, arrange for our travelers to visit the orphanage during their late afternoon feeding.
Less well known are their extraordinary efforts to protect elephants in the Kenyan bush. We invite you to take a look at one of their recent interventions that likely saved the life of a big “tusker.”
